Mucking Around in Boats

11/09/2004: With the November 14 official opening looming ever closer on the calendar, the wardens asked for a big attendance at this most important working bee. And they got it! St Johns parishioners rallied to the cause and got stuck in to the painting, trench digging concrete mixing and brick laying. Most of the work was hard manual labour, but everyone wore a bright beaming smile and seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. The wardens reported mission accomplished - all planned tasks were completed!

Some people are easily amused and for Sue and Rick Lovegrove, shovelling dirt is what really hits their funny bone.
