Mucking Around in Boats

14/08/2004: The chilly August winds didn't dampen the enthusaism of the happy workers at yet another St Johns working bee. This time, we continued to do a "Backyard Blitz" style renovation of the Rectory back yard and also started painting the interior of the new church building.

28/08/2004: Two weeks later and we're at it again. More interior paint work and commencement of the brickwork on the Royston Parade western boundary.

These two young blokes are into everything! Having transformed the Rectory back yard, Don and Siebe turn their hands to painting the hallway between the new worship space and the back offices.

The Rectory back yard is now looking very picturesque. Now all we need is some rain to turn that brown grass to green.

Here we see Peter carefully applying a fine spatter of paint to the back of Jan's cardigan. Luckily, they managed to get some on the walls as-well!

These workers have been consigned to hard labour on the rock pile. The resulting garden looks a picture and was well worth the toil.
