Mucking Around in Boats

22/05/2004: With the 6th working bee, attention switched from the church to the rectory, where the backyard received a full "make-over". The pyramid of bricks was used pave previously muddy areas and the fences were torn down and replaced. 32 tireless workers were in attendance, and work flowed over into the following weekend, finally finishing on Saturday 29/05/2004.

Another paved area in the Rectory back yard. A year ago, this was the site of the old ivy-covered garden shed that Working Bee #1 demolished. What a difference a year makes!

Having laid the new paving, it was necessary to test its entertainment capacity, and here we see a group of testers putting the new courtyard through its paces.

Standing on some partially completed paving, the workers gather for some words of instruction, encouragement and thanks from working bee supervisor Michael Coyne.
