Another paved area in the
Rectory back yard. A year ago, this was the site of the old ivy-covered
garden shed that Working Bee #1 demolished. What a difference a year
makes! |

Standing outside the new
Rectory garage (a structure that he had a hand in constructing), Barry
Spratt lays a few more bricks beneath the clothes line. |

The lapped and capped fence
at the rear of the new church parking lot. |

Fiona sweeps paving sand
between the bricks to finish off a section. |

Back at the Rectory court
yard, the paving team is starting to get ahead of the cleaning team. |

The new fence is a
heavy-duty, extra long life, lapped and capped treated pine model. John
is finishing the job off by placing some nice chocolate top soil along
the perimeter. |

Here we see Roy and Susan
engaged in the intricate art of removing nails from the old fencing. |

Ear muffs are de-rigeur
for those cleaning bricks with the hired brick cleaning machine. |

The dingo returned to the
Rectory back yard in order to spread the paving sand. |

Morning tea gives the
workers time to replenish their energies before hopping back into the
brick cleaning and paving. |
|
|
Having laid the new
paving, it was necessary to test its entertainment capacity, and here we
see a group of testers putting the new courtyard through its paces. |
 |
|
|
Standing on some
partially completed paving, the workers gather for some words of
instruction, encouragement and thanks from working bee supervisor
Michael Coyne. |
