Mucking Around in Boats

20/04/2004: A major milestone in the new church building construction has been achieved in the pouring of the concrete slab floor. Requiring 27 concrete mixers to deliver, the slab is made of heavy gauge steel reinforcing and 160 cubic metres of high grade concrete. Work began at 5:30am and continued until 8:00pm when the concrete pour and the trowelling was finally completed. At 5:30am the very next day, a film was sprayed onto the slab to retain moisture, and provide the best curing process. Once again, Nelly was on-hand to record the event in digital photographs.
